The goal of holistic health is to attain optimum well-being. A holistic approach to health considers the whole person; that is the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the whole person and her/his interaction with and relationship to her/his environment. A holistic health practitioner seeks to identify and address the root causes of ill health, not merely treat symptoms.
The Wright Resort engages you in holistic health practices and supports you in making and sustaining wellness-oriented life style choices. Holistic health practices include hatha yoga and kundalini yoga, tai chi, meditation and chanting, bodywork such as massage, acupuncture, hydro-therapy, energy work such as reiki, as well as eating nutritious, organic vegan and vegetarian meals, including gourmet raw foods. Holistic health is the source and goal of our experience with you.
Expressive Arts
Expressive arts is an integrative process for healing body, mind and spirit. I like to think of expressive arts as healing arts, a process of creative expression that is essential to health and well-being.
The Wright Resort provides a nurturing environment for creative expression that includes movement and dance, vocal and instrumental sound, visual arts such as painting and sculpting, creative writing, poetry and spoken word, drama and craft. The focus is to open and/or expand your capacity and channels for creativity, for self-discovery, growth and enjoyment. In so doing, it is our intention to facilitate healing that enables you to express your creativity fully and freely.
Sacred Ritual
Ritual is a symbolic enactment with a spiritual focus that is performed by an individual or a group of people. Ritual is a process whereby we may connect with consciousness and spirit through the heart.
Any ritual has the potential to be sacred ritual depending on attitude, awareness and intention. Rituals are performed for many reasons, yet the goal is connection and transformation. Ritual is an opportunity to step out of the mundane and renew ourselves, remembering that all life is interconnected and sacred.
The Wright Resort engages you more deeply in ritual. At The Wright Resort we recognize that the ultimate purpose of ritual is personal empowerment, remembering who we truly are and connecting with our own divine nature, firmly grounding ourselves in this divinity.
