Eclipse to Evolution Soul Awakening

The New Moon Solar Eclipse of August 21 was a big deal, for the world and particularly for those in the US, since many people saw totality and most saw a partial view of the eclipse; assuming clear skies!

Like many, I was very excited about this new moon solar eclipse. In fact, the night before, I made a pinhole projector, imagining that I’d stand on the front porch with my back to the sun, and capture the partial eclipse in my DIY projector.

However, on August 21, we experienced the typical San Francisco Bay Area overcast morning. Oh no…on to Plan B! I went to the Downtown Oakland Senior Center (DOSC) where I regularly exercise, to join the viewing party downstairs. Unfortunately, the so-called big screen was on CNN, which I refused to watch. Ok, Plan C. “I’ll go home and watch the eclipse action on my computer___ no, I can watch the NASA coverage on my cell phone.” After securing the DOSC wi-fi connection, I decided to go outside, so that if it got darker, at least I could experience that aspect of the eclipse.

As I stepped outside, I looked up, “I see it!” Three other people seated on the bench turned, looked up and also saw it. The wispy grey clouds had parted like curtains opening for a show. And there it was crystal clear, a silver-toned crescent sun partially covered by a new black moon. I was absolutely ecstatic, elated and filled with overflowing gratitude. I couldn’t stop grinning. “I saw it, there it was!”

After a congenial conversation, I thanked the three elders for sharing the phenomenal experience with me. “Oh no, we thank you! You saw it, screamed and then we looked up and saw it too!” As they departed, one of the men said, “You are one powerful lady!”

  • What did the solar eclipse mean to you?
  • How did you experience it?

Shortly thereafter, while I was in my aerobics class, the sun came out fully. The sun ‘light’ had returned, ‘light’ that energized me into a higher vibration and frequency; ‘light’ of love and compassion, diversity and oneness, ‘light’ of the divine feminine and sacred masculine, justice and peace, and the ‘light’ of health and wholeness for humanity and the planet.

Thus, I was reminded that the light always prevails. I’m encouraged that the darkness experienced in the world is being healed by the light. I’m encouraged by this awesome opportunity to heal my past, affirm my truth, share my gifts and be the light I’m called to be for a time such as this!

  • In what ways are you shining your light?
  • What actions are you now compelled to take?
  • How are you contributing to our collective healing?

I welcome your response! Let’s dialogue via email or FB or meet for tea.
Our world needs your love and soul, your unique gift, your energy, and light!

As we experience the full impact of this solar eclipse in coming months, let’s explore what this means for you, our world, our planet in Part 2.

Thanks for shining your light Harriet! Glad you kept following your guidance into the ‘what’s next’ of the experience! I have to wonder about the ‘naked eye’ viewing and all the warnings not to look without special glasses … unfounded fear?! At any rate, celebrating your divine shine!

    Dear Harriet,
Your story speaks of your powerful intention to view the eclipse. Here in Oregon, we were only one hour (in good traffic) from the Path of Totality. My younger son and his lady love had driven from Sacramento, CA to be with us for this once-in-a lifetime event. There was NO WAY my son was NOT going to drive into the Zone, even if it meant getting up at 4 AM and leaving at 5 to head off last minute traffic.
We had a luxury carriage for six humans and a dog. One of our friends owns a motor home, with bed, potty, stove and fridge and we brought enough water and food and coffee for 10 people for a week!
We took back roads to avoid the freeway and within two hours approached our destination — Corvallis, OR. We began to notice attractive country lanes off to our left, took one and found a dead end country lane off of that. A mile-square field gave us a clear view.
We parked and had breakfast. Then we took turns on the bed to get rested up. The dog had a “field day” — literally. About 9:15 we began to notice the small “mouse” bite out of the sun. At about 40% coverage, we noticed a dimming of the light and several degrees drop in temperature.
As we approached 90%, everything began to still, our minds and the dog included. AT 99% there was still so much sunlight that we could not gaze at it without protective glasses.
As my son videoed and announced “We have Totality!” I took off the glasses and was spellbound — awestruck! NOTHING in my life experience or my imagination had prepared me for what I saw and felt.
The beauty of the twilight dome of the sky (yes, we did see some stars or planets) the hush that came over the land, the flaming corona symbolizing the crown of Christ Consciousness in some minds, the utter, indescribable beauty captivated each of us. I definitely felt a transmission. I KNOW the world and Humanity have been impacted positively from that moment forward. It spelled a re-set of the Highest magnitude. I believe our world was blessed by this event, whether we saw it or not. I will be forever grateful that I did.
Blessings to you, Dear Friend, Alia

Alia, Thank you for sharing your most profound eclipse experience. It was a most auspicious spectacle, all your efforts were absolutely worth it. I agree that we were blessed by it. And as many astrologers say, we’ll feel the long-term impact in coming months. Not sure that the intensified global warming caused disasters occurring world-wide is quite what we expected, but Mother Earth is surely saying enough is enough – you humans better stop abusing me…
